The supple, round-bodied Merlot is enjoying increased popularity as a pure varietal. Medium to dark red, it has a distinct nose of cherries, raspberries, blackcurrants and mint, also displays some herbs and spices. A smooth mellow wine balanced for easy drinking, while its lower tannins indicate a wine that should be enjoyed relatively young.

Suggested Pairings - lamb burgers, roasted chicken, veal chops and Portobello mushrooms.
